Yesterday our 8th grade Rocket League team had its first victory over another middle school team, the Cardinal Legends. The match was best out of five and our team won the first three games with the third match going into overtime. Congratulations to our 8th grade boys on their victory and proudly representing Salem school in Esports!

Sixth grade science classes practiced using a safe method of observing a partial solar eclipse. Students created a pinhole projector to see a projected image of the sun. Classes took advantage of the sunny weather on Wednesday to use this method of solar observation. We can only hope there will be a break in the predicted cloudy skies on Saturday!

We are so excited to announce that Cereal Dominoes Drive begins today!! Student Senate is partnering with the Sharing Center to collect cereal donations! The boxes of cereal that are donated will be lined up like dominoes in a path around the school. The student who brings in the most boxes of cereal will be able to push the first box of cereal to start the path! Students can bring in cereal boxes to their homerooms from October 9th to 25th.
