Lunch & Breakfast Program

As a participant in the USDA's Summer Food Service Program (SFSP),  Salem School District will continue to offer free breakfast and lunch to all children in the community aged 18 and under weekdays through July 2nd, 2024.

  • Breakfast will be available from 8:00AM-9:00AM.

  • Lunch will be available from 11:30AM-12:00PM.

Families and children interested in picking up breakfast or lunch on Monday, July 1st or Tuesday, July 2nd should check-in at the Main Office.  All meals must be consumed on site.

The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

Whitsons Culinary Group, our food service provider, publishes nutrition information for items on the lunch and breakfast menus. This information is included in the My School Menus site linked above.

How to Add Funds to Food Service Accounts

 Families have 2 options for adding money to their food service account.

1)Add money through an online payment - See instructions here.

2) Send cash or check in an envelope labeled as Food Service Deposit along with your child's Name and Teacher. If you have more than one student, you only need to list one child's Name and Teacher since children in the same family share the same food service account.

Local Wellness Policy

As a participant in the National School Lunch (NSL) and School Breakfast Program (SBP), Salem School District is required to make our Local Wellness Policy (Salem Policy #8510) publicly available and complete an assessment of the Local Wellness Policy every 3 years.  Below are links to our Local Wellness Policy as well as our WellSAT assessment (report card) of the policy.  Salem School District will continue to evaluate our policies and practices with the input of District stakeholders.
