We are so excited to get to know you this year!
Throughout this school year, fourth graders will be advancing their multiplication skills, learning about fractions and decimals, as well as exploring geometry. Within reading, students complete many interesting writing activities through multiple types of research. Students also advance their comprehension and fluency skills through both independent reading and the reading and writing class! Phonics skills and rules are taught and applied to spelling, through practice instead of memorization. Within social studies, the biggest focus is learning about many aspects of Wisconsin! Within science, students explore science standards through teamwork and experiments!
In fourth grade we place an emphasis on helping students mature as students and community members! Throughout the year we practice responsibility, problem solving, time management, kindness, and peer relationships.
The 4th grade team believes that school is for academics and home is for extracurriculars and family. We work hard throughout the school day to make sure that students can have a break at home and have a chance to just be kids when school is over!
