My name is Megan Turk and I will be a 1st year, 5th grade teacher at Salem for the 2022-2023 school year! This past May, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education 1-8 and a minor in Library Media K-12. During my time at Whitewater, I was a Peer Mentor and a flute player in the Warhawk Marching Band. Fun fact: my Freshman year in 2017, I got to perform at a Packers game with the WMB. I live in Trevor, Wisconsin with my family and I actually went to Salem from 5th-8th grade. I am glad to be teaching at the school that I went to! When I have some free time, I like to shop, spend time with family and friends, cook, watch tv and Marvel Movies (Spider-Man is my favorite!). I also like to watch sports, but my favorite to watch is Football. I am beyond excited to get to know all students, families and staff at Salem! Let’s have a great school year! (: "

Mr. Walker just finished competing at the Wisconsin State Waterski Tournament, where he competes with the Twin Lakes Aquanuts! They took home first for the second year in a row, making the team reigning State Champions!!!!! Now he is training for 2 more tournaments this summer, Nationals in Illinois on August 12th-14th and a Barefoot competition. Come check out Mr. Walker and the rest of the Aquanuts at Lance Park in Twin Lakes, Wi as they present their 50th anniversary theme "Mary Poppins" and get some autographs from the team! I reside in Bristol with my 7 year old son, Calloway, who has autism spectrum disorder. I truly understand the challenges as well as the great joy that comes from special education. I am excited to share that joy with my new friends this year. Outside of school I love to spend time with my son, watch dirt track racing, HGTV shows and read. I look forward to meeting the students, parents and staff and am excited for a great school year!"

The Kenosha County Sheriff's DARE Program is hosting free Kona Ice for children 12 and under from 4PM to 6PM at Salem Community Library. I live in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin with my partner Ryan and four of our sons, Zack (22), Ryan (18), Logan (17), and Reese (14). I love music and dancing and spending time with my boys. I am also a fitness instructor, so yoga, dance, and movement are a big part of my classroom. I am looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning this school year!

Just a reminder that Salem School's 4K/5K Enrollment is happening now, and we have only a few openings remaining! Call today to ensure your child's spot for the 2022-2023 school year! We have a full-day or half-day 4K program option available again, on a first come, first served basis! Enrollment is available in Salem School's main office, located off of AH. Our Summer Office Hours vary, please call the extension listed below before you stop in! You will need to bring the following items with you to enroll: *The student’s original birth certificate *Proof of residency (Acceptable forms of proof of residency include a deed, current rental agreement signed by both parties, current tax statement, or a utility bill (gas, electric, water or sewer) within the last 30 days.) Salem offers both a full day and half day 4K program for students 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2022. Students, age 5, on or before September 1, 2022, can enroll for our full-day Kindergarten program. Students currently enrolled in Salem’s 4K program for the 2021-2022 school year do not have to enroll for Kindergarten.
