On Thursday, October 13th, we are inviting our entire Salem community (whether you have a student attending Salem School District or not) to participate in our Strategic Planning Community Engagement event starting at 5:30pm. We will dig into issues that impact not only our current and future students, staff, and families, but our entire community. (Refreshments will be be served at 5pm)
There is strong evidence that property value improves when the “health” of their local public school improves. This opportunity is not only an investment in our children’s future but your pocketbook, so please invite your neighbors to come out to Salem on the 13th to engage in the great conversation!

No School- October 7th. Salem Staff Inservice Day
Lexia.
At the September Board Meeting, the Board approved Lexia. Here is the Board Memo I wrote for the resource.
Like DreamBox, it is a personalized program. Whereas DreamBox supports Math, Lexia supports Reading.. We wanted to provide you with a resource that would be easy to implement at home as well as efficacious. The evidence supporting this resource is excellent.
What this means is that you can have your child access the resource at home or anywhere you have access to the internet. Students may be using it in class similar to the way they use DreamBox while our teachers are working in small groups or 1:1 with students.
