Members of the Salem Student Senate were honored to be able to hear from two guest speakers, both of which were Honor Flight Ambassadors. They shared their experiences with regard to their military service, as well as their involvement in the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
Steve Tindall was in the Navy for 9 years as a FTG1 (Fire Control Technician 1st class). His job was to maintain and operate the various components which aimed and fired the onboard guns.
Stewart Nagaro was in the Navy for 20 years as an Operations Specialist Senior Chief (radar operator). His job was to operate surface and air search radars, control combat aircraft, and train Navy recruits.
Student Senators were very excited to hear their stories. Thanks to a fundraising event, Salem School was able to donate $650 to the Honor Flight!
